The ever so vocal community has not stayed quiet. At the time of this writing, nearly 800,000 people have taken the chance to place their votes. However, the percentage of naysayers is currently beating the pro-Bitcoin votes, with 54% against 46%.

Nevertheless, the poll will end in about 10 hours, so there’s still a chance for a late comeback.

Novogratz, Silbert, Sun, and Musk Respond

As it happened several months ago when the author of the Harry Potter books J.K. Rowling asked Twitter to explain Bitcoin to her, numerous famous individuals rushed to offer their views on the matter.

TRON’s Justin Sun said, “Yes! It is time to FOMO!” Galaxy Digital founder and CEO Mike Novogratz was also positive with his answer.

He even said that he bought more BTC last night at $15,800. He predicted that BTC will go to $20,000 and then to $65,000. Novogratz also noted the emergence of “tons of new buyers” and highlighted Bitcoin’s limited supply of 21 million coins ever to exist.

Other community members took the opportunity to promote their services. Barry Silbert, the CEO of Grayscale’s parent company Digital Currency Group, advised her to check out Grayscale.

The official account of the Winklevoss-founded cryptocurrency exchange Gemini was slightly more subtle at first and used some Game of Thrones references: “Crypto winter is NOT coming. Check out Gemini if you want to stark some sats!”

Tesla’s Elon Musk, though, seemed to have confused the TV series. He said, “toss a Bitcoin to ur Witcher.” Although The Witcher is also a fantasy drama with several similarities with Game of Thrones, it’s actually an entirely different production.
