‘America’s Team’ and BlockchainCom
The cryptocurrency industry continues to engage with the US National Football League, with the latest example coming from one of the most successful NFL clubs – The Dallas Cowboys – which announced its partnership with BlockchainCom. As a result, the platform became the exclusive digital asset partner and sponsor of “America’s Team.”
The agreement will include TV, radio, and digital advertising, content and event opportunities, and branding. Fans will also be able to access the team’s content and their BlockchainCom Wallet.
The entities vowed to bring together communities both online and virtually via featuring social media promotions. Specifically, they will create educational content for NFL fans so they can learn more about the merits of the cryptocurrency and Web3 sectors.
Jerry Jones – President of The Dallas Cowboys – described BlockhainCom as one of the most “trusted” digital asset platforms. He also believes cryptocurrencies represent the future, and as such, his team should open its arms to the industry:
“When you have a chance to really delve into the kind of future that you have in the digital world, I wanted The Dallas Cowboys to be a part of that future in any and every way we could.” Jerry Jones President
Peter Smith – CEO of BlockchainCom – argued that football is “deeply rooted” in the culture of rural America. Situated in such an area and having much influence over the locals, The Dallas Cowboys could guide more people to join the cryptocurrency industry.
“Over the course of our long-term partnership, our goal is to partner with The Dallas Cowboys on helping the world to understand cryptocurrency,” he stated.
Last year, The New York Giants introduced Grayscale as the team’s Official Digital Currency Asset Management Partner. The company also became the Presenting Sponsor of The Giants Foundation Gold Outing – a charity organization run by the NFL club.
Tennessee Titans Embrace Bitcoin Payments
Earlier this month, another NFL team – Tennessee Titans – hopped on the crypto bandwagon by accepting bitcoin as a payment method. Fans got allowed to buy season tickets and sponsorship opportunities via the leading cryptocurrency. The club vowed to extend the initiative and enable the purchase of single tickets, merchandise, and at-game food and beverage sales in BTC soon.
To launch the move, Tennessee Titans joined forces with the Nashville-based crypto fund – UTXO Management. David Bailey – Parter at the company – said:
“We’re proud to partner with the Tennessee Titans as they start their Bitcoin journey and offer fans a new way to pay. 2022 is a special year as we continue to work with professional sports teams to help educate and further mass adoption of Bitcoin. The Titans are a top NFL franchise and a natural fit for this partnership.”
