Mcdonald’s Joins NFTs Trend

McDonald’s France is the latest firm to join the ongoing NFT craze. Over the past month, the NFT space has been bubbling with debuts of artists, celebrities, and institutions.

McDonald’s made the announcement of its entrance into the NFT world in an Instagram post on the 4th of April. McDonald’s France posted two NFTs representing a box of chicken McNuggets and the iconic Big Mac. The images were captions with the hashtag #McDoNFT.

Days after, the fast-food company posted two more McDonald’s NFTs on Twitter. The tweet posted on the 6th of April shows that McDonald’s is releasing two additional NFTs- sundae and fries. Each of the 4 works will be in five copies, making 20 unique works in total.

La Reclame said in a report that McDonald’s France has partnered with one of its French partner agencies DDB on the NFT launch. The report further revealed that the videos published by McDonalds will be transformed into NFTs by the New York-based agency DDB and will be uploaded to the digital marketplace OpenSea.

Recently, American football legends Eli and Peyton Manning said they are planning to launch a collection of NFTs. The brothers said the art collection will be eight digital pieces featuring memorable events in their careers.

As the NFT mania continues, Luxurious fashion brand Gucci also said it will soon release an NFT. Reports also showed that more luxury fashion brands are also looking to launch their NFTs.

In addition, American men’s lifestyle and entertainment magazine Playboy has partnered with Nifty Gateway to launch the NFT art gallery. Already, both individuals and firms have secured funds from NFT sales. Mike “Beeple” Winkelmann sold an NFT for $69 million in the first-ever action of an entirely digital artwork.

McDonald’s to Reward Contest Winners with Digital Arts
