“Let’s Go Brandon” has been a trend for months now and is designed to hide what speakers are really saying, which is “F*ck Joe Biden.” The chant takes aim at the current President of the United States and his growing incompetency. Things started in the late summer following the Afghanistan debacle that left several Americans, allies, and billion-dollar equipment behind as the 20-year war that had taken place in that country came to an abrupt and ugly end. The results arguably led to 13 deceased American soldiers and a near-full takeover of the country by the Taliban.
Soon after, many Americans attending sports events across the country began shouting “F*ck Joe Biden” as a means of showing disdain for the current president. From there, the chant became louder and stronger across the nation as other problems – including inflation, rising gas prices, supply chain issues, and a weak response to the COVID pandemic – began taking hold. As the chant gets larger, Biden’s poll numbers seem to get shakier.
“Let’s Go Brandon” stems from a NASCAR event that featured Brandon Brown getting interviewed by a reporter. In the background was the now common chant taking stabs at the president. The reporter allegedly believed that the crowd was instead yelling “Let’s Go Brandon.” These words have since been used in lieu of the prior words at many gatherings as a means of adding more fuel to the fire and poking fun at the President and the media.
A new cryptocurrency – known as LGB Coin (short for “Let’s Go Brandon” coin) – has now partnered with Brandon Brown. The driver will be seen cruising down the racetrack in a red, white, and blue Chevrolet with the meme coin’s name displayed prominently across the side.
Just an Endorsement… No Political Aspirations
In an interview, Brown explained:
Having the financial support of LGB Coin is incredible, especially at such a pivotal time in our team’s growth as we work to build to the next level of competition. From wondering if we would have the financial means to continue to compete, to my first major win (at Talladega no less), to becoming an unintentional meme, this past season was a rollercoaster. The support of sponsors like LGB Coin empowers us to be as competitive as possible, and I’m looking forward to competing hard on the track in 2022.
Despite accepting the endorsement, Brown has stated this is more about pushing the world of racing, and he has no desire to be involved in politics.
