Virtue Poker’s Upcoming Tournament

Developed within ConsenSys five years ago, VP is built on top of the Ethereum blockchain and serves as a decentralized P2P platform. In its most recent set of news, the project announced an upcoming charity poker tournament in a press release shared with CryptoPotato.

Scheduled to take place on June 22nd, the event will feature a dozen participants in a no-limit Texas Hold’em tournament. Paul Pierce, Joe Lubin, Phil Ivey, Brian Rast, Nick Rose, Elliotrades, Winston Wolfe, Mr. Beast, and Ran Neuner have already confirmed their attendance.

The remaining three spots will be given to one community member from Virtue Poker, SuperFarm, and Ethernity.

“After working with the Virtue poker team for over three years, I’m excited to see the platform launch and be part of their first live stream event on this innovative platform.” – commented Poker Hall of Famer Phil Ivey.

The event will be streamed through the main Twitch channel alongside the players’ private channels. It will have two starting tables with three players advancing from each to the final table. The winner will select the charity of their choice to receive the proceeds.

VP’s CEO, Ryan Gittleson, believes this tournament will enable his project to grow its community and showcase the platform to a broader audience.

VP IDO Coming on May 28th

Before the tournament, Virtue Poker outlined its upcoming initial DEX offering scheduled to take place on May 28th. It comes after a partnership with SuperFarm, and it will employ the latter’s recently released launchpad – SuperStarter.

SuperFarm also plans to provide further initiatives to VP following the event, including integration of non-fungible tokens.

VP has put up a small portion of its native coin (VPP) for sale on SuperStarter. Future token holders will be able to stake their assets to run Justice Nodes, earn 50% of the platform’s fees, access marketing initiatives, and “shape the development of the Virtue Poker platform.”
