The Gemini Exchange Is Becoming More Safe and Secure

Options has tied itself to monetary systems and companies across the globe. Among the services it offers are management solutions, market hosting, TCO reduction and top-of-the-line cybersecurity. Thus far, the company can claim more than 40 clients situated across Europe, North and South America and Asia, in countries such as Russia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.

Drew Candres – director of technical exchange services at Gemini – recently stated in an interview:

Gemini has consistently built an institutional-grade infrastructure that offers global connectivity and best-in-class trading technology. Adding Options to our list of trusted providers continues to further expand our global connectivity offering, helping more institutional customers access crypto spot markets in a reliable and high-performing way similar with traditional capital markets trading.

The Gemini Exchange was founded by the Winklevoss Twins of “The Social Network” fame. Both men have been hardcore focuses of the crypto news world as of late considering they have been pushing the case for a $500,000 bitcoin price. While they commented that the currency would not reach this price for some time, they are confident that there is a half-a-million status is waiting in the wings for the world’s number one cryptocurrency.

In addition, they are also pushing bitcoin given that they think gold is likely to lose much of its value in the coming years. Elon Musk – the famed CEO of both SpaceX and Tesla – has recently announced plans to begin mining gold from asteroids, which could potentially make the element much more plentiful and deplete its rarity. With this rarity suddenly a thing of the past, gold could wind up losing much of its value, whereas bitcoin boasts a finite supply.

Nearly 30 Years of Growth

The exchange is also one of only a handful of crypto trading platforms to offer insurance. Stephen Morrow – COO at Options – explained:

We are delighted to have Gemini available on Options’ global trading network and to be recognized as an official connectivity provider to the exchange. Being a recognized partner of the Gemini Trust Company (LLC) provides our clients with high-quality, fast and reliable access to Gemini, making trading in cryptocurrency as seamless as other more traditional asset classes.

Options is presently connected to over 400 market data streams. The company was founded nearly 30 years ago in 1993, and initially began its operations providing services to hedge fund managers and similar businesses. As time has gone by, the company has garnered a solid reputation, and has since expanded its operations to financial businesses of all kinds such as global investment banks, proprietary trading firms, brokers, dealers, exchanges and even private equity houses.
