Interestingly enough, Senator Lummis recently appeared on the popular Pomp Podcast hosted by Anthony Pompliano to discuss everything crypto-related, ranging from her passion for Bitcoin to her ideas on how to educate Senate on the matter.

Commenting on the matter, she said:

I want to reach out to the people who are listening to your podcast to help with this. We’re forming a financial innovations caucus in the Senate. We hope to use it as a springboard to educate members of the U.S. Senate and their staff about Bitcoin specifically, other opportunities in cryptocurrencies, financial innovation, and blockchain.

A Step Forward for the Entire Industry

It goes without saying that Lummis becoming a Senator was a step forward for the entire cryptocurrency industry and her becoming a member of the Senate Banking Committee is also undeniably favorable.

As CryptoPotato reported earlier in November 2020, Senator Lummis is a Bitcoin holder since 2013, and she is determined to put the cryptocurrency at the forefront of the country’s political debate.

Our own currency inflates; bitcoin does not. 21 million bitcoin will be mined and that’s it. It’s a finite supply, so I have confidence that this is going to be an important player in the stores of value for a long time to come. – She said.

In another appearance, this time on Peter McCormack’s podcast called What Bitcoin Did, the senator said that most government officials fear the cryptocurrency mostly because they don’t understand it. Apparently, that’s what she’s trying to change.
