TRON Apps On Samsung Galaxy Store

Back in 2019, both firms announced the initial partnership agreement when Samsung’s Blockchain Keystore integrated TRON. Earlier today, the latter informed that it had become the first blockchain project to have a dedicated section on the Samsung Galaxy Store in a press release shared with CryptoPotato.

Samsung smartphone users from Europe and the United States can now experience “the next generation of blockchain-based applications” directly on their mobile devices.

The dedicated section already has applications utilizing the technology. Those include Blockchain Cuties, Meerkat Mining, Timeloop, Super player, and more.

Per the announcement, TRON recently overtook EOS for the total number of applications on the platform. The Samsung Galaxy Store will soon have even more TRON-based apps.

“We really enjoyed working with Samsung on the blockchain level integration. Now with Samsung Galaxy Store, we are taking our collaboration to the next level by integrating both ecosystems together. This is an incredible opportunity for developers to migrate and build on the TRON platform and put their applications in front of Samsung users.”- said TRON founder and CEO, Justin Sun.

TRON network adoption across users and developers should increase following the Samsung integration, added Sun.

TRON Developments And TRX’s Role

The company has been somewhat active in terms of developments and partnerships lately. Less than a month ago, the popular blockchain-based game, Knight Story, launched on the TRON network.

Another major collaboration, which affected the company’s native cryptocurrency, came from Metal Pay. The digital money transfer business added TRX on its platform, and users can purchase it using fiat currency by debit/credit cards or through a linked bank checking account.

Such developments help TRX to continue its price increase since the yearly lows of mid-March. Following the massive slumps when it bottomed at $0.0072, the asset has doubled its value. At the time of this writing, TRX is trading at $0.01445.

Besides, as similar announcements have impacted the price of the cryptocurrency project involved in the past, it’s also worth following how TRX will perform amid the Samsung Galaxy Store integration.
