Samsung Partners With Gemini

Per today’s report, the integration will allow Samsung Blockchain Wallet users from the United States and Canada to connect to the Gemini mobile app without having to log in again. After that, customers can buy, sell, and trade various digital assets.

According to the announcement, the South Korean conglomerate is taking another step to provide a simple, secure, and convenient gateway for more individuals to enter the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Introduced in 2019, the Samsung Blockchain Wallet works with some of the company’s most successful phones and tablets. The Gemini app will be included in the flagship Samsung Galaxy S20 series and the new Galaxy Z Flip, but it won’t work on Verizon Communication Inc.’s network.

“Crypto is not just a technology; it is a movement. We are proud to be working with Samsung to bring crypto’s promise of greater choice, independence, and opportunity to more individuals around the world. Now, Samsung Blockchain Wallet customers can buy crypto in a simple, elegant, and secure way on Gemini.” – said Tyler Winklevoss, CEO of Gemini.

Samsung’s Crypto-Related Endeavors

Today’s announcement comes only days after the tech giant introduced its newest security chip solution designed to protect personal data and fintech activities such as mobile banking and cryptocurrency transactions.

As reported by CryptoPotato, the standalone turnkey security solution chip is Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (CC EAL) 6+ certified – the highest level acquired by a mobile component.

According to Dongho Shin, senior vice president of System LSU marketing at Samsung Electronics, digital asset transactions, mobile banking, and stock trading require the latest innovations and state-of-the-art solutions, allowing users to operate without any concerns.

Aside from providing enhanced protection for cryptocurrency transactions, the chip will be utilized in various other applications demanding stringent security requirements. Those include flagship smartphones, e-passports, and hardware wallets for cryptocurrency assets.

Adding Samsung’s recent collaborations with the popular blockchain project – the TRON Foundation – the tech giant is indeed opening its doors towards various cryptocurrency-related initiatives.
