Accelerated Development of Pegasus Testnet Features
The Pegasus Testnet has gone through various stages of rapid development in order to support Saga’s partners and innovators as the Web 3.0 gaming project plans to ship new features and provide tools that empower creators on a regular basis.
The introduction of Chainlets, which are customizable high-performance blockchains is a key Saga innovation. With it, developers can deploy various tech stacks and IPs that can communicate with one another. Realms serve as a physical manifestation of the company’s multiverse vision, allowing the creation of specialized chains with unique capabilities.
The Pegasus Testnet includes the security chain and the platform chain, which will serve as Saga’s backbone on Mainnet. The network is protected by the security chain, while the platform chain is where Chainlets are deployed and maintained. Chainlets are the spaces where end-user applications and activities take place. With plans to expand, the first Chainlet stack supports Ethereum tooling such as Solidity.
Rebecca Liao, co-founder and CEO of Saga, when expressing her view about the launch, said:
“Saga has the best community any protocol could ask for. Seeing our Innovators showcasing their creativity in this Incentivized Testnet, we are more positioned for success than ever.We have seen incredible gaming apps get to demo-able state and cannot wait to take them live on the Saga platform. We are fully committed to doing everything we can to support their growth.”
Community-Focused Approach and Token Airdrop
The web3 gaming company is launching an airdrop of SAGA tokens to reward Testnet participants. Tokens will be awarded to developers, validators, and other community members who meet certain criteria. Participation requirements include being an innovator or end-user on the platform. Following the US Securities Act of 1933, the airdrop is not available to anyone from the United States. The entire move demonstrates Saga’s focus on the community as it develops its Web3 gaming ecosystem.
Saga also welcomed its fifth Innovator cohort, with over 300 projects using the protocol now. Innovators are developers who use the company’s technology to create next-generation web games and applications. The project hopes to empower these innovators shaping its gaming-focused future with the accelerated timeline for Mainnet.
