Samsung has just unveiled its new Galaxy S20 phone family. Now the company is on a course to snatch the mobile market from competitors through attractive partnerships with Netflix and Xbox.

Samsung Electronics Co., for many years now, has been in heavy competition with Apple in the mobile phone market. Both companies seem to go head-to-head with their products every year and are also being constantly pitched against each other by consumers. Now, it would seem that more than ever, Samsung is ready to take on Apple via a good number of diverse partnerships.

Samsung to Bite Big Market Chunk with Partnerships

Samsung recently unveiled its new Galaxy S20 products.

In addition to the great features with the new devices, certain partnerships will change the game for Samsung.

Netflix

Samsung and the on-demand streaming platform Netflix have entered an official partnership. Samsung is now the official mobile entertainment partner for Netflix, a move that will integrate Netflix with Samsung devices. This integration will allow Samsung users to access Netflix content with greater ease, especially using the phone giant’s Bixby digital assistant.

Speaking on the partnership, Netflix Chief Marketing Officer Jackie Lee-Joe said the development will ensure a better mobile experience for Samsung users.

“The mission of this partnership is to make the Netflix viewing experience on Samsung mobile the absolute best it can be…We believe this significant partnership will provide millions of Samsung mobile users across the globe the best mobile entertainment experience, and make discovering new stories around the world easier than ever.”

Netflix will also offer Samsung users some exclusive bonus content

Xbox

Another interesting partnership Samsung has bagged is on the gaming front with Microsoft’s Xbox. At Samsung Unpacked event, the company’s director of strategy David Park said that a “premium cloud-based game streaming experience” with Xbox is in the works. No further details have been revealed. But Microsoft’s game streaming service Project xCloud which is currently being previewed, might see some integration with Samsung.

A Microsoft spokesperson in an email to CNET also hinted on an xCloud partnership with Samsung.

“We believe players around the world should have access to great, high-quality games on the device of their choice. Working with partners like Samsung is an important step in our Project xCloud journey and will help make game streaming more accessible to gamers. We look forward to sharing more later this year.”

In addition to this, Xbox’s Forza Street racing game will soon be available on the Samsung Galaxy Store. People can already pre-register for Forza Street on the Store.

Samsung Partnerships Will Boost Devices

Samsung, at the San Francisco Unpacked event, rolled out a new group of products in the Galaxy S20 series. They include the S20, the S20+ and the S20 Ultra. One of the major features of this new series is the 100x hybrid zoom with a 108mp camera.

The phone giant has also unveiled a new Galaxy Z Flip foldable device at $1,380.

With the new products and partnerships, Samsung will give its loyal customers a brand new experience in 2020. Samsung is still focused on bringing amazing products into the market with interesting features. But the partnerships could be strong enough to guarantee Samsung a cult following very soon.
