In autumn this year, Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) is scheduled to release its new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. Recently, the company revealed some tech details of the gadgets, and take our word for it, they are really impressive. However, the announcement hasn’t had a positive impact on teh AAPL stock price. Let us have a deeper look at what Apple promises for users.

iPhone 12: Breakthrough Camera and New Design

The new iPhones will be Apple’s first 5G phones. They will sport a quad-rear-camera array and 120Hz OLED displays across four models: 5.4 inches, 6.1 inches (two phones) and 6.7 inches.

The most prominent element in the iPhone 12 is its incredible camera. Firstly, it will have at least one 7P element (a module for the wide-angle lens) versus a 6P. It will also have a 1/1.9″ sensor. In comparison, it was 1/3.6″ in the iPhone 11 Pro.

The 5.4-inch OLED will be the smallest phone, with a rear dual-camera module. The largest gadget will be at 6.7 inches, with rear triple-cam. In new phones, the time of flight will adopt a 1/1.9-inch 7P lens for the wide camera and support sensor-shift.

Further, the camera will possess a new TrueDepth system that cuts down on the size of the notch on the front. Besides, its 3D triple-lens rear camera system will use a laser to calculate depth information for objects in the room, which will improve both photography and AR capabilities. Notably, this feature is quite similar to the LiDAR Scanner in the 2020 iPad Pro.

The company is allegedly developing new Face ID tech which means a redesigned and potentially slimmer notch. The combinations being tried include those that minimize the front-facing optics to fit in the top bezel.

As far as design is considered, it will generally resemble the iPhone 4 with a squared-edged stainless steel frame between two pieces of glass. There will be probably a new navy blue finish color, in addition to already existing.

More Specs

The iPhone 12 may have some small gains in battery capacity. The new battery will be twice smaller and thinner than in previous iPhones, which will make more space in the iPhone.

In addition, Apple will allegedly use the 5-nanometer chips in the iPhone 12 lineup. They are smaller, faster, and more battery efficient due to improved thermal management.

The schedule for the iPhone 12 release is fall 2020. However, it may change because of the current situation with the coronavirus outbreak.

Apple (AAPL) Stock Drops

The company now does not specify the dates and numbers of sales and deliveries for the upcoming months, as COVID-19 makes the future of Apple and other tech companies vague.

Today, Apple (AAPL) stock is not showing good performance. Currently, it is trading at $222.07, 3.13% down. It closed at $229.24 on Friday and opened at $228.08 today. Just a month ago, teh stock was trading around $300. The market cap makes up $971.531 billion.
