As announced, the question looks for an analysis of the economic geography in Sichuan province and how it reflects on the Bitcoin mining industry in the region. This year’s national college tests’ edition, known as Gaokao, includes economic geography questions, where college scholars will be provided with some additional context on Sichuan province concerning the crypto-related topic.
One doesn’t have to be the teacher’s pet to know that cryptocurrencies and mainly the Bitcoin mining phenomena are already popular across the world. Questions in Gaokao tests are pushing students to get to know about the digital asset industry and to focus on such important topics.
Though still considered as a global finance phenomenon, cryptocurrencies are here to stay. More than 66% of the worldwide Bitcoin production capacity is located in China. All these Bitcoin mining processes include a lot of electricity, which is of great consistency in the Sichuan Mabian County.
The reason is that there are lots of hydropower stations there, making the test question reasonable.
Interestingly enough, the news comes weeks after reports indicated that local government in Sichuan is looking to halt cryptocurrency mining operations in the region. Yet, sources familiar with the matter claimed that those notices are misunderstood, and judging by the fact that Bitcoin mining questions are supposedly included in national college exams, that might be the case.
Cryptocurrencies Have A Go In Higher Education Levels
In the last few years, cryptocurrencies, and especially Bitcoin, have been considered as important topics in economic development in the world. China is one of the best examples of how this matter is included in the scholars’ educational program. Moreover, there are several top-notch universities in the world that already offer Blockchain technology courses in their departments.
Among them are institutions such as Stanford University, Cornell University, University of Pennsylvania, National University of Singapore, University of California – Berkeley, Harvard, Princeton, and many others.
A survey carried by Qriously and US-based digital currency exchange Coinbase reported that 21 of the top 50 universities in the world are proactively offering a variety of courses on Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency to their scholars. The research also included 675 US students, showing that many of them are certain that crypto-related studies will have a broad impact on different industries.
