According to a Cointelegraph report, the aforementioned firms are not the only members that recently joined. MouseBelt university program director Ashlie Meredith also confirmed a few more new members. They include Singapore’s KuCoin crypto exchange, NEO smart contract project, IoT platform IoTeX, blockchain company Constellation and blockchain security outfit Quantstamp.

According to the Blockchain Education Alliance website, other members include Hedera Hashgraph, ICON, Wanchain, Ontology, Nervos, Orbs, LTO Network, Emurgo, ETC Labs, NEM, Truffle, Ethereum Classic Labs, TRON Foundation, and a few others.

About Blockchain Education Alliance

MouseBelt officially kicked off the Alliance back in October 2019 to contribute to blockchain development. The Blockchain Education Alliance focuses on imparting blockchain knowledge and educating students about the technology. It announced at the launch that three University of California campuses would kick off the project. They include UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis and UC Los Angeles. Also at launch time, MouseBelt announced it would announce 15 additional members later.

The Blockchain Education Alliance is the latest addition to MouseBelt university’s current efforts. The University Program already boasts of its presence in 14 countries, with at least 67 student blockchain organizations.

Meredith suggests that MouseBelt’s efforts will cater to a learning desire students already have. It will also create an attractive playing field for innovation in blockchain technology.

“Students are demanding blockchain education…We have an opportunity to have a positive impact on how blockchain technology is introduced to students, which will result in more blockchain developers, more innovative research, and higher quality companies.”

Tailored Educational Experience

The Blockchain Education Alliance also plans to do a lot more than direct teaching. There are plans to create as many connections as possible between researchers and heavy hitters who are already in the industry. The alliance hopes that apart from several blockchain courses, students will be able to acquire direct knowledge from experienced people.

The alliance also seeks to find startup founders of blockchain startups on some of these campuses. It intends to create educational courses tailored to the needs of these people. The alliance will teach them blockchain engineering and will also mentor them on business operations.

Now that the number of members it has is increasing, it will have access to more resources to achieve these goals. There is also the chance that the identified finders would get some first-hand experience from seasoned industry experts. Since some big names are joining the alliance, this might be fairly easy. The earlier mentioned connection created for the founders could very well lead to specific placements.
