Pornhub Premium, the HD arm of the popular adult website Pornhub, has announced that it now accepts Bitcoin and Litecoin as payment methods.

It’s important to outline that there’s a significant difference between the two websites, even though they belong to the same brand. Data from Similar Web shows that Pornhub receives around 3 billion monthly visitors, whereas Pornhub Premium has peaked at around 286 million in April, and its traffic is down to 97 million monthly visitors for July.
Nevertheless, this is a huge audience that can now pay using Bitcoin or Litecoin, and it’s undoubtedly a push in the right direction when it comes to mass adoption of cryptocurrencies.
Pornhub’s Journey With Cryptocurrencies
Earlier in 2019, the company announced that PayPal has cut off payouts to “over a hundred thousand performers who rely on them for their livelihoods.”
Indeed, PayPal used to be one of the more commonly used payment processors that Pornhub worked with. As such, when it was cut, a lot of performers found themselves looking for an alternative.
