Despite the potential negative impacts of AI, Musk also believes that AI would be a force for good and could even serve as a great friend and companion to users. During a recent AI Safety Summit in London, Elon Musk had a one-on-one discussion with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak about the future of artificial intelligence and its impacts on society. The tech billionaire warned that AI might eventually lead to a world where jobs become a thing of the past. He also painted a picture where you can only have a job if you want to because AI would be able to handle everything. “It’s hard to say exactly what that moment is, but there will come a point where no job is needed. You can have a job if you want to have a job for personal satisfaction. But the AI would be able to do everything,”

AI Would be Smarter than the Smartest Human
The SpaceX and Tesla CEO also believes that while AI invention has the potential to do good for society, there is also a chance that it could be bad.
“If you wish for a magic genie, that gives you any wish you want, and there’s no limit. You don’t have those three wish limits nonsense, and it’s both good and bad. One of the challenges in the future will be how do we find meaning in life.” explained he.

Tech Companies Sign Voluntary Agreement with UK Government
The 40-minute conversation between the two global figures took place at the lavish Lancaster House, an official UK government residence in London, where Musk met with Sunak after the end of the two-day AI safety summit at Bletchley Park.
According to a Coinspeaker report, the summit’s primary objective was to formulate global guidelines and scrutinize the potential hazards linked to AI development, particularly its capacity to assist in the production of biological and chemical weapons by malicious entities.
Throughout the event, which saw participation from many countries, including China, various major tech companies and nations signed a voluntary agreement, granting the United Kingdom, United States, and Singapore governments the opportunity to evaluate their latest models for potential social and national security risks.
Some companies such as OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Amazon, Mistral, Microsoft, and Meta signed up for the pledge, giving the government access to test their latest products before launch.
