During the Summit, Mathias Ruch said

“CV VC has invested in 66 teams across 22 countries globally. These teams are focused on using blockchain as a powershift technology to transform how things are done, creating a better future for humanity and impacting industries. Core to CV VC’s investment thesis is utility and sustainability. As a result, 60% of our global and 80% of our African portfolio companies are building towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. CV VC has a determined focus to invest in teams that directly impact local sustainability, as exemplified by Shamba Records—a team from Kenya transforming data transparency in agricultural data on blockchain. I accept this award with thanks, on behalf of our portfolio companies, as they are the true pioneers and visionaries. Investing in these teams is investing in humanity’s future.”

A core pillar that contributes to CV VC and its recent award wins is its ecosystem and accelerator business CV Labs, together nurturing 240 partners, in 5 global locations, producing research reports, and home to 130 plus blockchain tech teams in its Swiss HQ alone at Zug. CV Labs has accelerated 6 cohorts of startups through an acceleration programme and is currently accepting applicants for a seventh cohort of changemakers. On the African continent, CV Labs just launched a five-month incubator for teams to build on the Lisk protocol. Additionally, CV Labs will host the 9th edition of the world-renowned CV Summit in Zug on October 1-2, 2024, connecting pioneers who have the vision to make an impact.
